Harvey may bring catastrophic damage to Southeastern Texas…

Harvey has now been upgraded to an unbelievable category 4 storm and is about to go inland just north of Corpus Christi, Texas. Harvey will bring winds of up to 130 mph or possibly higher, along with a major storm surge as the eye wall comes on shore. Then the even bigger problem will the absolutely unreal rainfall amounts of possibly up to 60 inches, as Harvey will sit and spin just after going inland, until Wednesday or possibly even Thursday. This scenario is simply incredible, unbelievable, and we have never before seen anything like this. If this actually happens, the flooding will be absolutely catastrophic in Southeastern Texas.

In our area, it will however be nice through Monday with highs in the 70’s tomorrow, the 70’s to low 80’s Sunday, and the 70’s Monday.

Monday and Tuesday a tropical disturbance will develop along the coast of the Carolinas. This storm will then head northeastward and out to sea, bringing our area just a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm Tuesday and Wednesday. Highs will be in the mid 60’s to mid 70’s Tuesday and the upper 60’s to mid 70’s Wednesday.

Thursday will be variably cloudy with a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm as a cold front passes through our area. Highs will be in the 70’s to low 80’s.

Next Friday through Sunday then look nice with highs in the upper 60’s and 70’s next Friday, the 70’s next Saturday, and the mid 70’s to low 80’s next Sunday.

Next Monday and Tuesday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm as the remnants of Harvey may approach our area. Highs will be in the 70’s.

Next Wednesday and Thursday will then be nice with highs in the upper 60’s to mid 70’s.

Have a wonderful evening and let’s hope for the best for Southeastern Texas…
