Thursday, August 24, 2017 - Morning Weather Discussion

Nice through Wednesday and watching two tropical systems…

It will be nice through Wednesday but there will be two tropical systems to watch, one is Harvey, in the Western Gulf of Mexico which will make landfall Friday near Corpus Christi, Texas. Another is a storm that will develop off the coast of the Southeastern United States Sunday through Tuesday. This storm will bring some rain and high surf to the Carolinas, but should then head out to sea. The remnants of Harvey will however likely affect our weather with some showers and thunderstorms late next week.

Today through Wednesday will be nice with highs mainly in the 70’s.

Next Thursday will then be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm as a cold front moves through our area. Highs will be in the mid 70’s to mid 80’s.

Next Friday and Saturday are then looking variably cloudy as the remnants of Harvey may pass through our area. Highs will be in the 70’s to low 80’s.

Next Sunday through Tuesday will continue to be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm as a couple of disturbances and a cold front pass through our area. Highs will be in the 70’s to low 80’s

Next Wednesday then looks nice with highs in the 70’s to low 80’s.

Have a fantastic day!
