Landfall From Major Hurricane Irma Looking More Likely This Morning...

A landfall from major hurricane Irma is looking more likely this morning with both the American and European models indicating landfall near Wilmington, NC next Monday. The American model is indicating landfall from one of the most intense storms I have ever seen. The European model is much more realistic with a category 3 or 4 storm. Either way, this could produce some serious problems for parts of the Southeastern United States about a week from now. The storm would then move northward from there, bringing some heavy rain and strong winds to our area as well.

More in a bit with the Look at the Next 2 Weeks and Morning Weather Discussion.
