Monday, September 18, 2017 - Evening Weather Discussion

Jose comes close tomorrow and then watching Maria…

Jose will come close to our area tomorrow, bringing a chance of some showers or thunderstorms. It will also be windy with gusts of 20-30 mph possible inland and up to 40 mph possible along the coast. Rainfall amounts should be under an inch in most places, except possibly on Eastern Long Island. Highs will be in the 70’s to low 80’s.

Wednesday will be variably cloudy with a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm inland in the morning and a better chance on Eastern Long Island. Highs will be in the mid 70’s to mid 80’s.

Thursday through the following Thursday then look nice, as long as Jose doesn’t loop back around and make another pass at us Sunday or next Monday, of which there is a small chance, and as long as Maria stays out to sea as it looks she currently will. Highs will be in the mid 70’s to mid 80’s Thursday, the mid 70’s to low 80’s Friday, the upper 70’s to mid 80’s Saturday, the 80’s Sunday through next Wednesday, and the upper 70’s to mid 80’s next Thursday.

Next Friday will be variably cloudy with a chance of showers or thunderstorms as a cold front passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid 70’s to low 80’s.

Next Saturday and Sunday then look nice with highs in the mid 70’s to low 80’s.

Have a wonderful evening!
