Tuesday, September 19, 2017 - Morning Weather Discussion

Jose coming close and then Maria to devastate Puerto Rico…

Jose will pass by off shore today and tomorrow, bringing some wind and a chance of a shower or thunderstorm today. Winds could gust up to 20-30 mph inland today and up to 40 mph along the coast. Highs will be in the 70’s to low 80’s.

Tomorrow will be nice, but it will be windy with gusts of 20-30 mph, except up to 40 mph on Eastern Long Island. Highs will be in the mid 70’s to mid 80’s.

Tomorrow Hurricane Maria, currently a category 5 storm, will likely pass over Northeastern Puerto Rico as the strongest hurricane to make landfall on Puerto Rico since the 1930’s, and possibly in recorded history. This will devastate much of Puerto Rico, especially the Northeastern sections.
