Things Looking Even Worse This Morning...

Today is the 5th Anniversary of Superstorm Sandy...

Well, unfortunately, we all wake up to data that looks even worse this morning...

Superstorm Sandy hit in the evening 5 years ago today. It looks as if Philippe will hit about the same time tonight...

Tropical Storm Philippe and a strong cold front will team up to hit us hard tonight...

It now appears that there are chances for wind gusts as high as 70 mph possible throughout our area, with the potential of up to 80 mph wind gusts possible on Long Island, in Southern Westchester County in NY State, and in Southern Fairfield County, CT. These winds will cause some tree branches and trees to fall, causing some power outages.

Also, the rain is looking a touch worse with our entire area looking to get 2-4 inches, with up to 5 inches possible in parts of East Central and Northeastern PA. These rain amounts will cause some flooding.

So, Mother Nature is celebrating the 5th Anniversary of Superstorm Sandy with another dangerous storm. Of course, this will be nothing anywhere near the strength of Superstorm Sandy, but it will likely be one to remember.
