Friday, November 17, 2017 - Morning Weather Discussion

Unsettled this weekend and then watching the Gulf…

Today will be nice, but cool, with highs in the upper 30’s and 40’s.

Tomorrow clouds will increase in the morning, with a chance of showers in the afternoon and evening, possibly beginning briefly as some snow or mixed precipitation in Northeastern PA, Northwestern NJ, and Southeastern NY State, as a storm system and cold front approach from the west. Highs will be in the 40’s to mid 50’s.

Sunday rain will be likely early in the morning, followed by clearing, but then there will be a chance of a snow shower or squall at night as a some Lake Effect moisture could reach our area. Highs will be early in the morning in the 50’s, dropping to the 40’s to low 50’s by evening.

Monday and Tuesday will then be nice with highs in the upper 30’s and 40’s Monday and the upper 40’s and 50’s Tuesday.

Wednesday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower, especially along the coast and on Eastern Long Island. Highs will be in the 40’s to mid 50’s.

Thanksgiving will then be nice with highs in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s.

The middle to end of next week a tropical storm may form in the Gulf of Mexico. This storm will then track northeastward up the East Coast. It is still uncertain how close it will track to the coast, but the remnants of this storm could come close enough to bring our area some rain next Friday through Sunday. Highs will be in the mid 40’s to mid 50’s next Friday and the 40’s next Saturday and Sunday.

Next Monday through Thursday then look nice with highs in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s next Monday, and the upper 30’s to mid 40’s next Tuesday through Thursday.

Have a fantastic day!
