Friday, March 16, 2018 - Morning Weather Discussion

Big Snowstorm Possible in the Middle Atlantic States Tuesday into Wednesday…

Today will be variably cloudy with a chance of a flurry this morning. Highs will be in the mid 20’s to mid 30’s.

Tomorrow through Monday will then be nice with highs in the upper 30’s and 40’s tomorrow, the mid 30’s to mid 40’s Sunday and Monday.

Tuesday two disturbances will approach from the west, likely phasing and turning into a Nor’easter near the Virginia Capes Tuesday night and then turning northeastward up the coast. This will bring us a chance of rain or snow developing Tuesday and continuing through the day Wednesday. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to low 40’s Tuesday and the 30’s Wednesday.

There is a chance for heavy snowfall in parts of the Middle Atlantic States Tuesday into Wednesday, and possibly very heavy snowfall in some places. Whether or not this will be in the Allentown and New York City Metropolitan areas will be determined by how exactly the storm develops and the exact track that the storm takes. Be sure to check back for details.

Thursday through next Sunday then look nice with highs in the mid 30’s to low 40’s Thursday, the upper 30’s to mid 40’s next Friday, and the 40’s next Saturday and Sunday.

Next Monday clouds will increase as a disturbance approaches from the west. Highs will be in the upper 40’s to mid 50’s.

Next Tuesday through Thursday then look variably cloudy with a chance of showers as a couple of disturbances pass through our area. Highs will be in the upper 40’s to mid 50’s next Tuesday and Wednesday and the mid 40’s to low 50’s next Thursday.
