Storm Worked Out Mostly as Expected

Trying to forecast these types of storms is extremely difficult. In the end though, the storm did work out mostly as expected, with a few surprises, as can be expected. Most of the surprises happened on the edges of my forecast area with higher amounts than expected in the Lehigh Valley area of East Central PA, with up to 16 inches reported there, and also on the Eastern end of Long Island, with up to 19 inches there. Then up north and northeast, there was less snow than projected with incredibly, only 1 inch reported in Wantage, Sussex County, and for some reason Bergen County got less than forecast in many places with only 4.8 inches reported in Franklin Lakes, and the lower amounts than projected extended northeast through Northern Westchester County and into Fairfield County, CT.
