TODAY – snow, heavy at times, some sleet likely in Central NJ and on Long Island, ending late at night, windy, with gusts up to 30 mph possible inland and 40 mph along the coast and on Long Island, highs in the low to mid 30’s

Total possible accumulations as follows:

Coating to 8 inches:  Northeastern PA with gradually increasing amounts as you head south from the NY Border in Susquehanna and Wayne Counties, to southern Monroe and Carbon Counties

3-7 inches:  Southeastern NY State, with gradually increasing amounts as you head south from Northern Orange County

4-7 inches:  Fairfield County, CT and Eastern Long Island, with some sleet mixed in, especially on Long Island

5-8 inches: NYC and Western Long Island

4-12 inches: Northern and Central NJ with the lowest amounts likely in far Northern Sussex County and the highest amounts most likely in Southern Morris and Warren Counties, Hunterdon County, and in Western Monmouth County, some sleet will occur in Central NJ

6-12 inches: East Central PA, with the lowest amounts in Northern Lehigh and Northampton Counties

TOMORROW – snow ending early in the morning then clearing, lows from the low to mid 20’s in Northeastern PA to the mid 30’s on Eastern Long island, highs in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s

FRIDAY – mostly sunny, lows in the 20’s, highs in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s

SATURDAY – mostly sunny, lows from the mid to upper teens in Northeastern PA to the upper 20’s to low 30’s on Eastern Long island, highs in the 40’s

SUNDAY – variably cloudy, chance of snow showers, a coating to an inch of accumulation possible, lows from the upper teens to low 20’s in Northeastern PA to the upper 20’s to low 30’s on Long Island, highs in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s

MONDAY – mostly sunny, lows from the teens in Northeastern PA to the mid to upper 20’s in Central NJ and on Long island, highs in the low to mid 40’s

TUESDAY – mostly sunny, lows in the mid teens to mid 20’s, with some upper 20’s possible along the coast, highs in the mid 40’s to low 50’s

NEXT WEDNESDAY – variably cloudy, chance of a shower, lows in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s, highs in the mid 40’s to low 50’s

NEXT THURSDAY – mostly sunny, lows in the mid to upper 30’s, highs in the upper 40’s to mid 50’s

NEXT FRIDAY – variably cloudy, chance of showers, lows in the upper 30’s to low 40’s, highs in the 50’s

NEXT SATURDAY – variably cloudy, chance of showers, lows in the mid 30’s to low 40’s, highs in the mid 40’s to low 50’s

NEXT SUNDAY – variably cloudy, chance of showers, lows in the mid 20’s to mid 30’s, highs in the 40’s
