Thursday, July 19, 2018 - Morning Weather Discussion

Nice today/tomorrow and then, well…

It will be very nice today and tomorrow with highs in the upper 70’s to mid 80’s today and the upper 70’s and 80’s tomorrow.

Saturday clouds will increase with a chance of rain developing at night, especially along the coast, on Long Island, and in Fairfield County CT, as a strong disturbance develops in the Southeastern United States and rides northward along the coast. Highs will be in the mid 70’s to low 80’s.

Sunday through next Saturday are then looking variably cloudy with a chance of showers or thunderstorms each day as we will be sandwiched between two strong high pressure areas, one off the Southeastern Coast of the United States, and one in the Mid-Western States. The will produce a moist flow of air through our area, and several disturbances will then be funneled around these high pressure areas and through our area. The showers and thunderstorms could be heavy at times. A cold front will then pass through our area next Saturday night, clearing us out. Highs will be in the mid to upper 70’s near the coast and on Long Island, and in the 80’s to low 90’s inland Sunday, and the mid 70’s to low 80’s Monday through next Saturday.

Next Sunday through Wednesday are then looking nice with highs in the mid 70’s to low 80’s next Sunday through Tuesday and the upper 70’s to mid 80’as next Wednesday.

Have a fantastic day!
