TODAY – variably cloudy, light snow and snow showers developing between about 10 pm in East Central PA and 2 am in Fairfield County, CT and on Eastern Long Island, possibly some rain or mixed rain and snow in Central NJ, NYC, and on Long Island, highs in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s. Total possible accumulations of a trace to an inch or two in East Central and Northeastern PA, Northern NJ, Southeastern NY State, and in Fairfield County, CT, and a trace to a coating possible in NYC and on Long Island

CHRISTMAS EVE – light snow ending early in the morning, then variably cloudy with a chance of rain or snow showers, lows in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s, highs in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s

CHRISTMAS DAY – variably cloudy, lows in the 20’s, highs in the 30’s

WEDNESDAY – variably cloudy, lows in the 20’s, highs in the mid 30’s to low 40’s

THURSDAY – variably cloudy, lows in the upper teens to mid 20’s, highs in the low to mid 30’s

FRIDAY – rain developing in the morning, possibly starting as a brief period of snow, sleet, or freezing rain in some places, lows in the mid 20’s to mid 30’s, except some upper 30’s possible near the NJ Coast, highs from the upper 30’s to mid 40’s in Northeastern PA to the mid 50’s in Central NJ

SATURDAY – variably cloudy, lows in the 40’s, highs in the mid 40’s to low 50’s

NEXT SUNDAY – variably cloudy, chance of a rain or snow shower, lows in the mid 20’s to mid 30’s, highs in the 30’s to low 40’s

NEW YEAR’S EVE – increasing cloudiness chance of rain or snow developing in the afternoon or at night, lows in the 20’s, highs in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s

NEW YEAR’S DAY – chance of rain or snow, lows in the upper teens to mid 20’s, highs in the 30’s
