The rain will end this evening and then tomorrow will be variably cloudy with a slight chance of a sprinkle or flurry. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.
Monday, clouds will increase in the afternoon and at night as a warm front approaches our area. Highs will be in the upper 20’s to low 30’s.
Tuesday, light snow will develop early in the morning in East Central and Northeastern PA, Northern NJ, Southeastern NY State, and in Fairfield County, CT and will then change to rain, except there will be a period of freezing rain in Northeastern PA and possibly in far Northwestern NJ near the PA border. Highs will be in the upper 30’s and 40’s.
Total possible snowfall accumulations:
A trace to half inch possible: East Central PA and Northeastern NJ
A trace to an inch possible: Northeastern PA, Northwestern NJ, Rockland and Westchester Counties in NY, and in Southern Fairfield County, CT
A coating to an inch and a half possible: Orange and Putnam Counties in NY and Northern Fairfield County, CT
Up to two tenths of an inch of ice is also possible in Northeastern PA and far Northwestern NJ.
Wednesday will then be variably cloudy with a chance of a rain or snow shower. Highs will be in the 30’s to low 40’s.
Thursday will then be variably cloudy with a slight chance of a snow shower or flurry in the morning as some Lake Effect moisture may reach our area. Highs will be in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s.
Friday will then be nice with highs in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s.
Next Saturday, clouds will increase late in the day, as a storm system approaches from the Southeastern United States. Highs will be in the low to mid 30’s.
Next Sunday, there will be a chance of snow as the approaching storm turns into a Nor’easter off the Southeastern United States and then heads north or northeast. The snow lovers will want to keep an eye on this one. If it turns northward, we would have a chance at a significant snowstorm in our area. If it heads northeast, we would likely miss the storm. It is still too early to tell the exact track. Highs will be in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s.
Next Monday and Tuesday will then be nice with highs in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s next Monday and the 30’s next Tuesday.
Next Wednesday, clouds will increase late in the day as a disturbance approaches from the west. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to low 40’s.
Next Thursday will be variably cloudy with a chance of rain or snow showers as a disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to low 40’s.
Next Friday will then be nice with highs in the 30’s.
