Significant Snowstorm Looking Likely for Parts of the Middle Atlantic This Weekend...

The chances for a significant snowstorm have increased quite dramatically for parts of the Middle Atlantic with the data this afternoon. There is now consensus will most major model data that there will be a significant snowstorm for parts of the Middle Atlantic as the European model has now come in line with the American and Canadian. Unfortunately the European Center does not permit their images to be posted, but I will post the American and Canadian which are somewhat similar. Unfortunately, the test run of the new American model did not process this afternoon.

Keep in mind that this storm is still five days away and these maps likely will change significantly on each run, so the storm could easily shift further north into our area, or further south and away from our area.

Below is the latest run of the Medium-Range American model. Click on the image to zoom in.

And below is the latest run of the medium-range Canadian model, which most looks like the European model with its track, but the European model has heavier snow in Virginia currently, and lighter amounts in Southern NJ. (The European model is the most accurate model on average)
