Tomorrow and Tuesday will be nice with highs in the 30’s tomorrow and the mid 30’s to low 40’s Tuesday.
Wednesday will be variably cloudy with a slight chance of a rain or snow shower in the afternoon or at night as a cold front passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to low 40’s.
Thursday clouds will increase in the afternoon and evening, with a chance of snow developing at night as a disturbance approaches from the west. Highs will be in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s.
Friday there will be a chance of snow, possibly changing to rain in parts of our area before ending in the morning, followed by clearing. There is a chance for some snowfall accumulation. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.
Next weekend things are likely to get very interesting as a storm will start to develop Friday night along the Texas, Oklahoma border. This storm will then move eastward along a stalled cold front, reaching the Tennessee River Valley Saturday afternoon and the Middle Atlantic Coast Sunday morning. This storm will have a strong supply of cold air to the north of the frontal boundary and copious amounts of moisture from the Gulf of Mexico to the south and eventually from the Atlantic Ocean to the east. There is the potential for VERY heavy snowfall to the north of the track of this storm. The forecast below is based upon the data as it is currently projected. This can shift slightly north or south and will make a major difference in the forecast in many locations, so be sure to check back in the morning for the latest information.
Saturday clouds will increase in the morning, with a chance of snow developing in the afternoon and continuing through the night as a storm system approaches from the Tennessee River Valley. Highs will be in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s.
Next Sunday there will be a chance of snow, possibly heavy at times, and possibly changing to rain in some locations, ending at night. There is a chance of significant, or even very significant accumulations of snow in parts of our area, but it will be completely dependent on the track of this storm. It will be quite windy as well, with gusts up to 50 mph possible inland, and up to 60 mph possible near the coast and on Long Island. Highs will range from the low 20’s in Northeastern PA to the low to mid 30’s in Central NJ and on Long Island.
Next Monday through Wednesday will then be nice with highs in the mid teens to mid 20’s next Monday, the 20’s next Tuesday, and the 30’s next Wednesday.
Next Thursday through Saturday are then looking variably cloudy with a chance of rain or snow showers as a couple of disturbances pass through our area. Highs will be in the 30’s next Thursday, the mid 20’s to mid 30’s next Friday, and the mid 20’s to mid 30’s next Saturday.
Have a wonderful evening!
