It will be cloudy tonight into early tomorrow morning with a chance of a bit of light rain, except a chance of some light rain, freezing rain, or snow in parts of Northeastern PA, Northwestern NJ, Southeastern NY State, and in Northern Fairfield County, CT, where a light glaze of ice or a coating of snow is possible in some places, especially in the higher elevations of Northeastern PA.
Things will then clear out early tomorrow morning. Highs tomorrow will be in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.
Friday, clouds will increase in the afternoon, with rain developing late at night, as a storm system approaches from the Southeastern United States. Highs will be in the low to mid 40’s.
Saturday there will be rain, possibly heavy at times in the morning in parts of our area, as the storm system passes through our area. Highs will be in the upper 30’s and 40’s.
Sunday will then be nice with highs in the upper 30’s and 40’s.
Monday a storm system will approach from the west, reaching the Great Lakes area Monday night. This storm system will be blocked from continuing to head eastward by a strong high pressure area that will be situated over Quebec, Canada. This will cause the storm system to re-develop near the NJ Coast Tuesday morning. This track should cause cold air to remain locked into parts of our area Monday and Tuesday.
Monday, rain or snow, or a mixture of rain and snow will develop in the afternoon in East Central Pennsylvania, Central and Northeastern NJ, NYC, and on Long Island, and snow will develop in Northeastern PA, Northwestern NJ, Southeastern NY State, and in Fairfield County, CT, as a disturbance approaches from the west. Highs will be in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s.
Late Monday afternoon or early Monday evening any snow, or mixture of rain and snow in East Central PA, Central and Northeastern NJ, NYC, and on Long Island, may change to rain, and the snow in Northeastern PA, Northwestern NJ, Southeastern NY State, and in Fairfield County, CT, may mix with or change to sleet or rain, before possibly changing back to sleet or snow at night.
Tuesday, the rain and snow will end in the morning, followed by variably cloudy skies and a chance of a rain or snow shower. Highs will be in the 30’s to low 40’s.
Next Wednesday through Friday will then be nice with highs in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s next Wednesday and Thursday and the 30’s next Friday.
Next Saturday and Sunday there will be a chance of rain or snow as a disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s.
Next Monday and Tuesday then look nice with highs in the mid 30’s to low 40’s.
Have a wonderful evening!
