Tuesday, February 26, 2019 - Look at the Next 2 Weeks

Unsettled with chances for a bit of snow Thursday morning…

Several weak disturbances will pass through our area in the next few days, one Wednesday night into Thursday morning will pass to our north, one Friday morning will pass to our south, and one Saturday may pass right through our area. We will then have to watch for the potential of a Nor’easter next Tuesday into Wednesday.

Today will be mostly sunny and windy with gusts of up to 30 mph possible. Highs will range from the upper 20’s to low 30’s in Northeastern PA, Orange and Putnam Counties in NY, and in Northern Fairfield County, CT, to the upper 30’s in Central NJ and NYC.

Tomorrow will be variably cloudy with a chance of a snow shower in the morning in Northeastern PA and light snow developing at night. Highs will range from the mid 20’s in Northeastern PA, Northern NJ, Southeastern NY State, and Fairfield County, CT, to the low to mid 30’s in Central NJ.

Thursday there will be a chance of light snow early in the morning, followed by clearing. Highs will range from the low to mid 30’s in Northeast PA to the mid 40’s in Central NJ.

Total possible snowfall accumulation Thursday morning:

A trace to a coating possible:  East Central PA, Central NJ

Trace to an inch possible:  southern portions of Northeast PA, Northern NJ, NYC, Eastern Long Island

Coating to two inches possible:  northern portions of Northeast PA, Southeastern NY State, Eastern Long Island, Fairfield County, CT


Friday there will be a chance of light snow or flurries in the morning, then it will be variably cloudy. Highs will be in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s.

Total possible snowfall accumulation Friday morning:

Trace to a coating possible:  Northeast PA, Northern NJ, Southeastern NY State, NYC, Long Island, and Fairfield County, CT

Coating to an inch possible:  East Central PA, Central NJ


Saturday there will be a chance of rain or snow, ending from southwest to northeast in the afternoon and evening. Highs will be in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s.

Sunday and Monday will then be nice with highs in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s Sunday and the mid 20’s to low 30’s Monday.

Next Tuesday, March 5th, clouds will increase with a chance of snow developing in the afternoon as a Nor’easter may develop along the East Coast of the United States. Highs will be in the mid 20’s to low 30’s.

Next Wednesday, March 6th, there will be a chance of snow ending in the morning, followed by clearing. Highs will be in the mid 20’s to low 30’s.

Next Thursday, March 7th, through next Saturday, March 9th, will then be nice with highs rising from the 20’s next Thursday, to the upper 20’s to mid 30’s next Friday, and the 30’s next Saturday.

Next Sunday, March 10th, clouds will increase with a chance of rain or snow showers developing at night as a disturbance approaches from the west. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to low 40’s.

Next Monday, March 11th there will be a chance of rain or snow showers ending in the morning, followed by clearing. Highs will be in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s.
