TODAY – increasing cloudiness, snow and mixed precipitation developing in Southeastern PA and mixed precipitation developing in Southern NJ between about 1-3 pm, snow developing in East Central PA, and mixed precipitation developing in Central NJ between about 3-4 pm, snow developing in Northeastern PA, Northern NJ, and western portions of Southeastern NY State, and mixed precipitation developing in NYC and on Western Long Island between about 4-5 pm, and snow developing in eastern portions of Southeastern NY State, on Eastern Long Island, and in Fairfield County, CT, between about 5-6 pm. The mixed precipitation will then change to snow in the evening in inland portions of Southern NJ, in Central NJ, and in NYC, the snow will then change back to rain at night in Southeastern NJ, and to rain and mixed precipitation in Southwestern NJ, and portions of Central NJ, and Long Island. The precipitation will be heavy at times at night. Highs in the mid 30’s to low 40’s before the precipitation starts, then dropping rapidly to from the upper 20’s to low 30’s in Northeastern PA to the low to mid 30’s in Central NJ and on Long Island after the precipitation starts.

TOMORROW – snow ending in Eastern PA and rain ending in Southern NJ between about 3-4 am, snow ending in Northeastern PA, Northern NJ, and western portions of Southeastern NY State, and mixed precipitation ending in Central NJ between about 4-5 am, snow ending in eastern portions of Southeastern NY State and in NYC, between about 5-6 am, snow ending on Western Long Island and in Fairfield County, CT, between about 6-7 am, and mixed precipitation ending on Eastern Long Island between about 7-8 am, followed by clearing. Lows from the mid to upper 20’s in Northeastern PA, Northwestern NJ, and Orange County, NY, to the low to mid 30’s in Central NJ and on Long Island. Highs ranging from the mid 20’s to low 30’s in Northeastern PA to the mid to upper 30’s in Central NJ and on Long Island

Total possible snowfall accumulation:

Trace to an inch or two:  Southeastern NJ

Two to four inches:  northern portions of Northeastern PA, Southwestern and East Central NJ, far southeastern Long Island

Four to eight inches:  western portions of East Central PA, Northeastern PA (excluding far northern sections), far Southeastern PA, West Central and much of Northeastern NJ, NYC, far Southeastern NY State, most of Long Island, Southern Fairfield County, CT and all of Coastal Connecticut

Eight to sixteen inches:  western portions of Southeastern PA, most of East Central PA, Northwestern and portions of Northeastern NJ, central portions of Southeastern NY state, Northern Fairfield County, CT, and Central Connecticut from west to east

  

TUESDAY – variably cloudy, chance of a snow shower or flurry at night, lows from the mid single digits below zero to the mid single digits above zero in East Central and Northeastern PA, Northwestern NJ, and Orange County, NY, to the upper single digits to mid teens on Long Island, highs from the low to mid 20’s in Northeastern PA to the low 30’s in Central NJ

WEDNESDAY – variably cloudy, chance of a snow shower or flurry, lows from the single digits inland to the low to mid teens on Long Island, highs from the mid teens to low 20’s

THURSDAY – variably cloudy, chance of a snow shower or flurry in the morning, lows from the single digits below zero in East Central and Northeastern PA, West Central and Northwestern NJ, and in Orange County, NY, to the single digits above zero on Long Island, highs from the upper teens to mid 20’s

FRIDAY – increasing cloudiness late in the day, lows in the single digits inland and the low to mid teens on Long Island, highs in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s

SATURDAY – variably cloudy, chance of a snow shower, lows in the teens, highs in the mid 30’s to low 40’s

NEXT SUNDAY – increasing cloudiness, rain or snow developing at night, lows in the mid teens to low 20’s, highs in the mid 30’s to low 40’s
