The stationary front that has been situated near our area for pretty much the entire spring, will continue to plague our area with chances for showers or thunderstorms for at least the next 10 days or so. More important though is the dangerous heat wave that is about to affect the Southeastern United States, with many areas reaching the 100’s, and possibly even approaching 110 in parts of Southeastern Georgia and inland South Carolina, for the next week at least. This is extremely unusually for May and early June and may very well break all-time daily records in some places.
In our area, today will be variably cloudy with a chance of a late afternoon or nighttime shower or thunderstorm as a disturbance and cold front approach our area. Highs will be in the mid 60’s to mid 70’s.
Sunday will be variably cloudy with a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm, especially in Northeastern PA, as the cold front slowly passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid 70’s to low 80’s in Northeastern PA and on Eastern Long Island, the low to mid 80’s in East Central PA, Northwestern NJ, Southeastern NY State, along the NJ Coast, on Central Long Island and in Fairfield County, CT, the mid 80’s in Northeastern NJ, NYC, and on Western Long Island, and the mid to upper 80’s in Central NJ.
Memorial Day clouds will increase in the afternoon and at night, with a chance of a shower at night, as a disturbance approaches from the west. Highs will be in the 70’s.
Tuesday, rain will be likely in the morning, with a chance of a shower in the afternoon, as the disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the low to mid 60’s on Eastern Long Island and in Fairfield County, CT, the mid to upper 60’s in Southeastern NY State and on Western Long Island, the mid 60’s to low 70’s in Northeastern PA, the upper 60’s to mid 70’s in Northern NJ and NYC, the low to mid 70’s in East Central NJ, and the mid to upper 70’s in East Central PA and West Central NJ.
Wednesday will be variably cloudy with a chance of showers in the afternoon and at night as another disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the upper 60’s to low 70’s on Long Island, the low to mid 70’s in Fairfield County, CT, the mid to upper 70’s in Southeastern NY State and NYC, the mid 70’s to low 80’s in Northeastern PA, East Central and Northern NJ, and the low to mid 80’s in East Central PA and West Central NJ.
Thursday will be variably cloudy with a chance of rain at night as another disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid to upper 70’s in Northeastern PA and on Long Island, the low 80’s in Fairfield County, CT, the low to mid 80’s in East Central PA, Coastal and Northwestern NJ, Southeastern NY State and in NYC, the mid 80’s in Northeastern NJ, and the mid to upper 80’s in inland Central NJ.
Friday is then looking nice with highs in the 70’s.
Next Saturday, June 1st, clouds will increase, with a chance of a shower in the afternoon or at night, as a disturbance may develop along the Middle Atlantic Coast. Highs will be in the upper 60’s to low 70’s on Long Island, and the 70’s elsewhere.
Next Sunday, June 2nd, clouds will increase, with a chance of showers or thunderstorms in the afternoon and at night, as a cold front approaches from the west. Highs will be in the 70’s.
Next Monday, June 3rd, there will be a chance of a shower in the morning, as the cold front departs our area. Highs will be in the upper 60’s to mid 70’s.
Next Tuesday, June 4th, through next Friday, June 7th, are then looking nice with highs in the mid 60’s to mid 70’s next Tuesday, the mid 60’s to low 70’s next Wednesday, the mid 60’s to mid 70’s next Thursday, and the upper 60’s to mid 70’s next Friday.
