Monday, July 8, 2019 - Evening Weather Discussion

Nice until Thursday night and then a tropical storm or hurricane may develop in the Northern Gulf of Mexico…

Things will clear out tonight and then it will be nice until Thursday night with just a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm in Northeastern PA Wednesday afternoon and evening. Highs will be in the 80’s tomorrow, the 80’s to low 90’s Wednesday, and the 80’s Thursday.

Thursday night into Friday morning there will be a chance of showers or thunderstorms as a disturbance and cold front pass through our area. Highs will be in the upper 70’s and 80’s.

A tropical system will develop in the Northern Gulf of Mexico Thursday and Friday, making landfall in Eastern Texas or Louisiana Saturday. The storm could reach hurricane strength prior to making landfall. The remnants of this storm will then track northward into the Plains States.

Saturday through next Monday, July 15th, will then be nice with highs in the 80’s Saturday, the 80’s to low 90’s Sunday, and the 80’s next Monday.

Next Tuesday, July 16th, through next Sunday, July 21st, are then looking variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm each day. Highs will be in the 80’s next Tuesday, the mid 80’s to low 90’s next Wednesday and Thursday, and the 80’s next Friday through Sunday.

Have a wonderful evening!
