Monday, July 8, 2019 - Morning Weather Discussion

Showers and thunderstorms ending today, then a few nice days, but then a tropical system is likely to develop in the Gulf of Mexico…

Showers will be likely this morning, followed by a chance of a shower or thunderstorm this afternoon as a disturbance passes south of our area. Highs will be in the mid 70’s to mid 80’s.

Tomorrow and Wednesday will then be nice with highs in the 80’s tomorrow and the mid 80’s to low 90’s Wednesday.

Wednesday through Friday a tropical storm will likely develop in the Northern Gulf of Mexico, along a stationary front. This storm could reach hurricane strength prior to making landfall in either Louisiana or Western Texas. Any remnants from this storm would likely reach us towards the middle of next week.

Thursday clouds will increase with a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm in the afternoon, and then showers or thunderstorms will be likely at night, as a cold front approaches our area from the west. Highs will be in the 80’s.

Friday will be variably cloudy with a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm, especially in the morning, as the cold front passes through our area. Highs will be in the 80’s.

Saturday through next Tuesday, July 16th, will then be nice with highs in the 80’s Saturday, the 80’s to low 90’s Sunday, and the 80’s next Monday and Tuesday.

Next Wednesday, July 17th, through next Sunday, July 21st, are then looking variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm each day. Highs will be in the mid 80’s to low 90’s next Wednesday, the mid 80’s to mid 90’s next Thursday, the mid 80’s to low 90’s next Friday, and the 80’s next Saturday and Sunday.

Have a fantastic day!
