Saturday, July 13, 2019 - Evening Weather Discussion

Nice through Tuesday, but then the remnants of Barry and a heat wave are on the way…

Barry reached Hurricane strength today just prior to landfall along the Louisiana Coast. Barry will bring Louisiana very heavy rainfall and flooding. Barry will then move northward into the Plains States prior to moving eastward through our area Thursday. Click here for the latest on Barry from the National Hurricane Center.

It will be nice through Tuesday with highs in the upper 70’s and 80’s tomorrow and Monday and the mid 80's to low 90’s Tuesday.

Wednesday will be variably cloudy with a chance of an afternoon or evening shower or thunderstorm as warm and moist air starts to stream northward into our area ahead of the approaching remnants of Hurricane Barry. Highs will be in the mid 80’s to mid 90’s.

Thursday, showers or thunderstorms will be likely, and they could be heavy at times, as the remnants of Hurricane Barry pass through our area. Highs will be in the 80’s to low 90’s.

Friday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm, especially in the morning, as the remnants of Hurricane Barry depart our area. Highs will be in the mid 80’s to mid 90’s.

Next Saturday, July 20th, through next Wednesday, July 24th, are then looking nice with highs in the upper 80’s and 90’s next Saturday, the mid 80’s to mid 90’s next Sunday, the 80’s to low 90’s next Monday, the upper 70’s and 80’s next Tuesday, and the 80’s next Wednesday.

Next Thursday, July 25th into the morning of next Friday, July 26th, there will be  chance of a shower or thunderstorm as a cold front passes through our area. Highs will be in the upper 70’s and 80’s.

Have a wonderful evening!
