Saturday, July 13, 2019 - Morning Weather Discussion

Nice through Tuesday, but a heat wave and the remnants of Tropical Storm Barry on the way…

Tropical Storm Barry is making landfall along the Louisiana Coast this morning and has strengthened to near hurricane strength. Barry will bring extremely heavy flooding rain to Louisiana and will then move northward into the Plains States, prior to moving eastward and approaching and then passing through our area Thursday. Click here for the latest on Tropical Storm Barry from the National Hurricane Center…

It will be nice through Wednesday, but a heat wave will likely commence Tuesday and there will also be a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm Tuesday and Wednesday as warm and moist air starts to flow into our area ahead of the approaching remnants of Tropical Storm Barry. Highs will be in the upper 70’s and 80’s today, the mid to upper 70’s in Northeastern PA and the 80’s elsewhere tomorrow, the upper 70’s to mid 80’s Monday, and the mid 80’s to mid 90’s Tuesday and Wednesday.

Thursday there will be a chance of showers or thunderstorms, and they could be heavy at times, as the remnants of Tropical Storm Barry pass through our area. Highs will be in the mid 80’s to mid 90’s.

Friday will be variably cloudy with a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm as the remnants of Tropical Storm Barry depart our area. Highs will be in the mid 80’s to mid 90’s.

Next Saturday, July 20th and next Sunday, July 21st, will then be nice with highs in the mid 80’s to mid 90’s.

Next Monday, July 22nd, through next Friday, July 26th, are then looking variably cloudy with a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm each day. Highs will be in the 80’s to low 90’s next Monday and Tuesday and the upper 70’s to mid 80’s next Wednesday through Friday.

Have a fantastic day!
