Monday, September 2, 2019 - Evening Weather Discussion

Chance of a shower or thunderstorm Wednesday and there is a chance Dorian won’t make official landfall anywhere in the United States…

Hurricane Dorian will start turning north, paralleling the Florida coast, coming closest to Cape Canaveral, continuing north and coming close to Charleston and Myrtle Beach, SC, then turning northeast and paralleling the Carolina Coasts, possibly making landfall near Cape Lookout, NC, or staying just offshore and never making landfall on the United States at all. Tomorrow will be variably cloudy with a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm Wednesday. Highs will be in the mid 70’s to mid 80’s.

Wednesday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm as a cold front passes through our area. Some of the storms could be severe. Highs will range from the upper 70’s to low 80’s in Northeastern PA to the upper 80’s to low 90’s in Central and Northeastern NJ.

Thursday, clouds will increase as Hurricane Dorian approaches from the south. Highs will be in the upper 60’s to mid 70’s.

Friday will be mostly cloudy with a chance of rain as Hurricane Dorian passes well to our south and east. Highs will be in the upper 60’s to low 70’s.

Saturday and Sunday will then be nice with highs in the 70’s Saturday and the upper 60’s and 70’s Sunday.

Next Monday, September 9th, will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm as a disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the upper 60’s to mid 70’s.

Next Tuesday, September 10th, and next Wednesday, September 11th, will then be nice with highs in the low to mid 70’s next Tuesday and the mid 70’s to low 80’s next Wednesday.

Next Thursday, September 12th, and next Friday, September 13th, are then looking variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm as a cold front passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid 70’s to low 80’s next Thursday and the 70’s next Friday.

Next Saturday, September 14th, and next Sunday, September 15th, will then be nice with highs in the 70’s.
