Thursday, September 12, 2019 - Evening Weather Discussion

Thunderstorms possible Saturday and then watching the tropics EXTREMELY closely…

We need to watch two possible hurricanes along the East Coast next week. A tropical disturbance is currently approaching the Bahamas and will strengthen rapidly as it reaches the warm water near the Central Florida Coast this weekend. The hurricane will then turn northward, likely staying just off the coast of the entire Southeastern United States, then moving northward off the East Coast of the United States. We will just have to see how far off the coast the hurricane passes, or if it come due north right along the coast. Yes, there is a possibility that this hurricane could make landfall in our area next Friday and Saturday. Keep in mind, it could very well remain safely out to sea also. Then, after this storm passes, another hurricane is likely to develop right behind the first one, taking a similar track. It is still much too early to be certain of the exact track of these storms, so be sure to check back for updates. Click here for the latest from the National Hurricane Center.

There will be a chance of a shower or thunderstorm this evening and then tomorrow will be variably cloudy with highs in the mid 60’s to low 70’s.

Saturday will be variably cloudy with a chance of an afternoon or evening shower or thunderstorm as a cold front passes through our area. Some of the storms could be severe. Highs will be in the upper 60’s and 70’s.

Sunday will then be nice with highs in the 70’s to low 80’s.

Monday will be variably cloudy with a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm. Highs will be in the 70’s to low 80’s.

Tuesday and Wednesday will then be nice with highs in the low to mid 70’s.

Next Thursday, September 19th, clouds will increase as a hurricane may approach our area from the south. Highs will be in the 70’s.

Next Friday, September 20th, and next Saturday, September 21st, there will be a chance of rain and possibly wind, as a hurricane could possibly affect parts of our area. Highs will be in the mid 70’s to low 80’s.

Next Sunday, September 22nd, is looking variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm as the hurricane may be departing our area. Highs will be in the 70’s.

Next Monday, September 23rd, there will be a chance of rain and wind as another hurricane could affect our area. Highs will be in the 70’s.

Next Tuesday, September 24th, will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm as the hurricane may depart our area. Highs will be in the upper 60’s to mid 70’s.

Next Wednesday, September 25th, is then looking nice with highs in the upper 60’s to mid 70’s.

Have a wonderful evening!
