Hurricane Dorian is approaching…

Hurricane Dorian will come very close to the South and North Carolina coasts today and tonight, probably making landfall near Morehead City or Cape Lookout, North Carolina, then passing well southeast of our area. Dorian could however come close enough tomorrow to bring our area a bit of rain and wind. Click here for the latest on Hurricane Dorian from the National Hurricane Center.

Today will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm tonight in Central NJ as Hurricane Dorian approaches from the Southeastern United States. Highs will be in the 70’s.

Tomorrow rain will develop from south to north across our area, except possibly in parts of Northeastern PA. It will be windy with gusts of 20-30 mph possible inland and up to 40 mph possible along the coast. Highs will be in the upper 60’s to mid 70’s.

Saturday will be variably cloudy with a slight chance of a shower or sprinkle in parts of Northeastern PA. Highs will be in the upper 60’s and 70’s.

Sunday will then be mostly sunny with highs in the upper 60’s and 70’s.

Monday will be variably cloudy with a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm. Highs will be in the upper 60’s to mid 70’s.

Wednesday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm as a cold front passes through our area. Some of the storms could be severe. Highs will be in the 70’s to low 80’s.

Next Thursday, September 12th and next Friday, September 13th, are then looking variably cloudy with highs in the mid 60’s to low 70’s next Thursday and the mid 60’s to mid 70’s next Friday.

Next Saturday, September 14th, will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower. Highs will be in the 70’s.
