Hurricane Dorian absolutely obliterated parts of the Bahamas and will now move northward, coming very close to Charleston and Myrtle Beach SC Thursday afternoon and night, and possibly making landfall on Cape Lookout, NC Friday, then heading out to sea. Tomorrow will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm as a cold front passes through our area. Some of the storms could be severe. Highs will range from the upper 70’s to low 80’s in Northeastern PA to the upper 80’s to low 90’s in Central NJ.
Thursday will then be nice with highs in the 70’s.
Friday there will be a chance of rain developing from south to north across our areas Dorian approaches from the south. It will also be windy, with gusts of 20-30 mph, except 30-40 mph in Fairfield County, CT, and on Western Long Island, and 40-45 mph on Eastern Long Island. Highs will be in the upper 60’s to low 70’s.
Saturday and Sunday will then be nice with highs in the 70’s Saturday and the upper 60’s to mid 70’s Sunday.
Monday through next Wednesday, September 11th, are looking variably cloudy with a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm each day. Highs will be in the upper 60’s to mid 70’s Monday and Tuesday and the mid 70’s to low 80’s next Wednesday.
Next Thursday, September 12th, is then looking variably cloudy with chance of a shower or thunderstorm as a cold front passes through our area. Highs will be in the 70’s.
Next Friday, September 13th, through next Monday, September 16th, are then looking variably cloudy with a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm each day. Highs will be in the low to mid 70’s next Friday, the 70’s next Saturday and Sunday, and the upper 60’s and 70’s next Monday.
