Today will be variably cloudy with highs in the mid 70’s to mid 80’s.
Tomorrow will be variably cloudy with a chance of an afternoon or early evening shower or thunderstorm. Some of the storms could be severe, as a cold front passes through our area. Highs will range from the upper 70’s to low 80’s in Northeastern PA and on Long Island, to the upper 80’s to low 90’s in West Central NJ.
Thursday clouds will increase as Hurricane Dorian approaches our area from the south. Highs will be in the 70’s.
Hurricane Dorian will continue moving slowly northward from the Bahamas, coming close to Charleston and Myrtle Beach South Carolina Thursday, with winds of up to 80 mph possible along the coast there. Dorian will then turn northeastward, paralleling the North Carolina Coast, with a small chance of official landfall of the eye of Dorian on Cape Lookout, NC. The North Carolina Coast could see winds of 80-100 mph in some locations, with higher gusts possible. Dorian will then head out to sea, possibly brushing our area with some rain and a bit of wind Friday. Click here for the latest on Hurricane Dorian from the National Hurricane Center.
Friday there will be a chance of rain, as Dorian passes south and east of our area. It will also be windy, with gusts of 20-30 mph inland, up to 40 mph along the coast, and possibly up to 50 mph on Eastern Long Island.
Saturday and Sunday are then looking nice with highs in the 70’s.
Monday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm, as a disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the upper 60’s to mid 70’s.
Next Tuesday, September 10th, and next Wednesday, September 11th, are then looking nice with highs in the low to mid 70’s next Tuesday and the mid 70’s to low 80’s next Wednesday.
Next Thursday, September 12th, is looking variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm as a cold front passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid 70’s to low 80’s.
Next Friday, September 13th, and next Saturday, September 14th, will then be nice with highs in the 70’s next Friday and the mid to upper 70’s next Saturday.
Next Sunday, September 15th, is then looking variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm. Highs will be in the 70’s.
Next Monday, September 16th, is looking nice with highs in the 70’s.
