Tomorrow there will be a chance of light rain and drizzle in East Central and Northeastern PA, NYC, on Long Island, in Rockland, Westchester, and Putnam Counties in NY State, and in Fairfield County, CT, as a weak disturbance develops near the coast. Highs will range from the low to mid 50’s in Northeastern PA to the low 60’s in Central NJ.
Wednesday will then be mostly sunny with highs in the mid 40’s to mid 50’s.
Thursday, a disturbance will develop in the Tennessee River Valley, moving northeastward and reaching a point off the NJ Coast by early Tuesday morning. This will cause clouds to increase, with rain developing in the evening from west to east across our area, possibly mixing with and changing to snow at night in Northeastern PA, far Northwestern NJ, Orange, Northern Rockland, Northern Westchester, and Putnam Counties in Southeastern NY State, and in Northern Fairfield County, CT. The exact track of the storm will determine where the rain/snow line sets up. Highs will be in the upper 40’s to mid 50’s.
Friday the rain, and possibly snow in some places, will end early in the morning, followed by clearing. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.
Below is the latest run of the ECMWF (European model) snowfall map for Thursday night into Friday morning. As you can see, the snow line has been gradually shifting northward, leaving more of our area with rain. We will have to wait and see the exact track of the storm. Saturday and Sunday will then be nice with highs in the mid 30’s to low 40’s Saturday and the 40’s to low 50’s Sunday.
Next Monday, November 11th, clouds will increase, as a disturbance approaches from the Southeastern United States. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.
Next Tuesday, November 12th, there will be a chance of snow, as a storm may develop near the Middle Atlantic Coast. Yes, it should actually be cold enough for snow in our area, IF the storm develops close enough to the coast. Highs will be in the 30’s to low 40’s, depending on how close the storm gets to the coast.
Next Wednesday, November 13th, there will be a chance of snow ending in the morning, followed by clearing. Highs will be in the 30’s to low 40’s.
Below is the latest run of the European model snow map for next Tuesday and Wednesday. This is however a very long way out in time and we will just have to wait and see if and how this storm develops, but it will be fun to watch. mage courtesy ECMWF and WeatherBell Analytics.
Next Thursday, November 14th, clouds will increase with a chance of rain or snow developing at night as a storm may form near the NJ Coast. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.

Next Saturday, November 16th, will then be nice with highs in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s.
Next Sunday, November 17th, is then looking variably cloudy with a chance of a shower as a disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid to upper 40’s.
