TODAY – chance of a little light snow/snow showers/flurries this morning and early afternoon, with a coating of accumulation possible in places, then rain developing this evening in Central NJ, possibly changing to freezing rain in parts of West Central NJ, and snow, freezing rain, or rain developing in East Central PA, Northeastern NJ, NYC, and on Long Island, likely changing to freezing rain and possibly a bit of rain before changing back to freezing rain in many places, snow developing in Northeastern PA, Northwestern NJ, Southeastern NY State, and Fairfield County, CT, changing to freezing rain in all of East Central PA and Northern NJ gradually overnight, and possibly into NYC and on parts of Long Island, highs in the 30’s

TOMORROW – snow gradually changing to freezing rain early in the morning in Northeastern PA, Southeastern NY State, and Fairfield County, CT, freezing rain, changing to rain in East Central PA, West Central NJ, and Northeastern NJ, in the late morning, possibly changing back to snow everywhere before ending at night, lows in the upper 20’s and 30’s, highs in the 30’s, but with some low to mid 40’s along the NJ Coast

Total possible snowfall accumulations:

Trace to an inch:  Central NJ

Coating to an inch or two:  Southern portions of East Central PA, Northern portions of Central NJ, Southern portions of Northern NJ (roughly along the Rt. 78 corridor), NYC, Long Island

One to Three inches:  Northern portions of East Central PA, Central portions of Northern NJ (roughly along the Rt. 80 corridor), Southern Westchester County, NY

Three to Six inches:  Northeastern PA, far Northern NJ (Sussex, far Northern Morris, Northern Passaic and far northwestern Bergen Counties) Southern NY State (excluding Southern Westchester County, and Fairfield County, CT

Total Possible Freezing Rain accumulations:

Trace to a quarter inch possible:  Northeastern NJ just inland from the Hudson River

Quarter to a half inch possible:  East Central and Northeastern PA, Northern NJ (inland from the Hudson River,  Southeastern NY State, and Fairfield County, CT

WEDNESDAY – variably cloudy, chance of a snow flurry, snow shower, or snow squall in the late afternoon or evening, lows in the upper teens and 20’s, highs in the upper 20’s and 30’s

THURSDAY – variably cloudy, chance of a snow flurry in the morning, lows in the mid single digits to mid teens, highs in the mid teens to mid 20’s

FRIDAY – mostly sunny, lows in the upper single digits and teens, highs in the mid 20’s to mid 30’s

SATURDAY – increasing cloudiness, slight chance of rain or snow developing at night, lows in the teens to mid 20’s, highs in the 30’s

SUNDAY – slight chance of rain or snow in the morning, then clearing, lows in the 20’s to low 30’s, highs in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s

NEXT MONDAY – mostly sunny, lows in the mid 20’s to low 30’s, highs in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s

CHRISTMAS EVE – mostly sunny, lows in the mid 20’s to low 30’s, highs in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s

CHRISTMAS DAY – mostly sunny, lows in the mid 20’s to low 30’s, highs in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s

NEXT THURSDAY – variably cloudy, chance of a rain or snow shower, lows in the mid 20’s to low 30’s, highs in the mid 30’s to low 40’s

NEXT FRIDAY – variably cloudy, chance of a snow shower in the morning, then clearing, lows in the mid 20’s to low 30’s, highs in the 30’s

NEXT SATURDAY – variably cloudy, lows in the 20’s, highs in the 30’s

NEXT SUNDAY – increasing cloudiness late in the day, lows in the 20’s, highs in the 30’s
