Saturday, December 28, 2019 - Evening Weather Discussion

Rain on the way, and possibly a touch of freezing rain and snow in northern sections…

Clouds will increase tomorrow with rain developing from the late morning in parts of East Central PA, to the evening on Eastern Long Island, as a disturbance approaches from the west. There could be some freezing rain in parts of Northeastern PA and Northwestern Orange County, NY. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.

Monday, there will be rain, ending at night in East Central PA and parts of Northeastern PA and Central NJ. The rain may mix with or change to a little snow before ending in parts of Northeastern PA, Southeastern NY State, and Northern Fairfield County, CT, as the disturbance passes through our area.  Highs will range from the mid to upper 30’s in Northeastern PA, most of Southeastern NY State, and in Fairfield County, CT, to the mid 40’s to low 50’s in East Central NJ.

Tuesday, the rain will end early in the morning from west to east across our area. It will then be variably cloudy with a chance of rain or snow showers at night. Highs will be in the 40’s.

Wednesday and Thursday will then be variably cloudy with highs in the mid 30’s to low 40’s Wednesday and the upper 30’s to mid 40’s Thursday.

Friday, there will be a chance of rain as a disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the 40’s.

Next Saturday, January 4th, will then be nice with highs in the mid 40’s to low 50’s.

Next Sunday, January 5th, will be variably cloudy with a chance of a rain or snow shower as a weak disturbance passes near our area. Highs will be in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s.

Next Monday, January 6th, and next Tuesday, January 7th, are then looking nice with highs in the 30’s next Monday and the upper 20’s to mid 30’s next Tuesday.

Next Wednesday, January 8th through next Friday, January 10th are then looking variably cloudy with a chance of a snow shower as a couple of disturbances pass south of our area. Highs will be in the mid 20’s to mid 30’s.
