Thursday, December 12, 2019 - Evening Weather Discussion

A very rainy Friday night and Saturday, and then continuing to watch Monday night into Tuesday morning…

Clouds will increase tomorrow with light rain developing around midday, becoming steadier and heavier at night, as a strong storm system develops along the coast of the Southeastern United States and starts to move northward in our direction. Highs tomorrow will be at night and will range from the upper 30’s to low 40’s in Northeastern PA to the mid 50’s in East Central NJ.

Saturday there will be rain. The rain could be heavy at times in the morning and will end in many locations Saturday night. There could be some flooding with rainfall amounts generally ranging from 1-2 inches across our area. Highs will range from the low to mid 50’s in Northeastern PA to the upper 50’s to low 60’s in Central NJ.

Sunday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a snow shower in the morning in Northeastern PA. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.

Monday clouds will increase, with a chance of rain or snow developing at night as a disturbance approaches from the west. Highs will be in the 30’s.

Tuesday, there will be a chance of rain or snow in the morning, followed by clearing in the afternoon and evening. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.

Wednesday through next Friday, December 20th, will then be nice with highs in the mid 20’s to mid 30’s Wednesday, the upper 20’s to mid 30’s Thursday, and the mid 20’s to mid 30’s Friday.

Next Saturday, December 21st, clouds will increase with a chance of snow developing at night as a storm system may form near the East Coast. Highs will be in the mid 20’s to mid 30’s.

Next Sunday, December 22nd, there will be a chance of snow in the morning, followed by clearing, as the storm system pulls away from our area. Highs will be in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s.

Next Monday through Christmas Day are then looking nice with highs in the 30’s next Monday, the mid 30’s to low 40’s next Tuesday, and the 30’s Christmas Day.
