Monday, January 13, 2020 - Evening Weather Discussion

Snow squalls possible Thursday afternoon and evening, cold Friday, then a chance for snow Saturday…

It will be mostly cloudy with a chance of a shower or some light rain tomorrow afternoon and evening as a weak disturbance passes south of our area. Highs will be in the low to mid 40’s.

Wednesday will be variably cloudy with highs in the mid 40’s to low 50’s.

Thursday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a rain shower in the morning and a snow flurry, snow shower, or snow squall in the afternoon or evening. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.

Friday will be mostly sunny with highs in the 20’s to low 30’s.

Saturday, clouds will increase with a chance of snow developing in the afternoon as a strong disturbance approaches from the west. The snow will likely change to rain in the evening in much of Central NJ, NYC, and on Long Island, and possibly in parts of Northeastern NJ. Significant snowfall is likely in East Central and Northeastern PA, Northwestern NJ, Southeastern NY State, and in Fairfield County, CT, and is possible in Central and Northeastern NJ, NYC, and on Long Island. Highs will be at night and will range from the low 30’s in Northeastern PA to the low to mid 40’s in East Central NJ and on Long Island.

Sunday through next Wednesday, January 22nd, will be variably cloudy with highs in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s Sunday, the 20’s next Monday, the upper teens to mid 20’s next Tuesday, and the 20’s next Wednesday.

Next Thursday, January 23rd and next Friday, January 24th, will be variably cloudy with a chance of a snow shower. Highs will be in the 20’s next Thursday and the mid 20’s to mid 30’s next Friday.

Next Saturday, January 25th, into the morning of next Sunday, January 26th, there will be a chance of snow as a storm may develop along the Middle Atlantic Coast. Highs will be in the 30’s.
