It will continue to be variably cloudy through Friday with a chance of a snow shower or flurry in Northeastern PA tomorrow into Wednesday morning. Highs tomorrow will range from the low to mid 30’s in Northeastern PA to the low 40’s in Central NJ, NYC, and on Long Island, the mid 30’s to low 40’s Wednesday, the low to mid 30’s Thursday, and the upper 30’s to mid 40’s Friday.
Friday, two disturbances will be approaching our area. One in the Northern Jet Stream will be dropping down from Canada and through the Great Lakes area, while another disturbance in the Southern Jet Stream will be developing over the Gulf of Mexico. There is a chance that these two disturbances could combine near the Middle Atlantic Coast to form a strong Nor’easter. It is however still uncertain that these two disturbances will come together, and if they do, how close the resultant storm would come to our area. If the disturbances fail to merge we could be left with only a chance of a rain or snow shower as the two disturbances pass by. If the two disturbances partially merge we would have a chance of rain or snow showers or light rain or light snow. If the two disturbance fully merge there would be a chance of a strong Nor’easter affecting our area with heavy rain or heavy snow and strong winds. Time will tell. Be sure to check back for updates.
Saturday, we will have a chance of rain or snow as the disturbances, or potentially a Nor’easter, pass through our area. Highs will be in the upper 30’s to low 40’s, or colder if the Nor’easter forms.
Sunday will be variably cloudy with a chance of rain or snow ending in the morning, then it will be variably cloudy with a chance of a rain or snow shower in the afternoon or evening. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to low 40’s.
Next Monday, February 3rd, will be mostly sunny with highs in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s.
Next Tuesday, February 4th, and next Wednesday, February 5th, will be variably cloudy with highs in the low to mid 40’s next Tuesday and the 30’s to low 40’s next Wednesday.
Next Thursday, February 6th, there will be a chance of rain or snow as a disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the 30’s.
Next Friday, February 7th, through next Sunday, February 9th, are then looking variably cloudy with highs in the mid 30’s to low 40’s.
Have a wonderful evening!
