Sunday, January 26, 2020 - Evening Weather Discussion

A fairly nice workweek and then continuing to watch next weekend…

It will be variably cloudy with a chance of a snow shower or flurry in Northeastern PA as some Lake Effect moisture could reach that area. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s tomorrow, and the mid 30’s to low 40’s Tuesday and Wednesday.

Thursday and Friday are then looking nice with highs in the mid 30’s Thursday and the mid 30’s to low 40’s Friday.

Saturday there will be a chance of rain or snow as two disturbance approach from the west. One in the Northern Jet Stream that will be passing through the Great Lakes area, and one in the Southern Jet Stream that will develop in the Gulf of Mexico Friday and then turn northeastward. It is still unclear as to whether or how much these two disturbances will interact. If they don’t interact we would likely have a pretty nice weekend next week, and if they do interact there could be an intense Nor’easter along the Middle Atlantic Coast. We will just have to wait and see how this works out. Highs Saturday will be in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s, depending on how this situation develops.

Next Sunday, February 2nd, through next Saturday, February 8th are then looking variably cloudy with a chance of rain or snow showers next Thursday and Friday. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s next Sunday and Monday, the upper 30’s to mid 40’s next Tuesday, the 30’s to low 40’s next Wednesday, the upper 20’s to mid 30’s next Thursday, and the 30’s next Friday and Saturday.

Have a wonderful evening!
