It will be relatively nice through Friday with just a chance of a flurry or snow shower through Wednesday morning in Northeastern PA as a bit of Lake Effect moisture could reach that area. Highs today and tomorrow will be in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s, the mid 30’s to low 40’s Tuesday, the 30’s Wednesday, the mid 30’s Thursday, and the mid 30’s to low 40’s Friday.
Friday one disturbance will be developing in the Gulf of Mexico while another disturbance drops down from Canada into the Northern Plains States. The disturbance in the Gulf of Mexico in the Southern Jet Stream will move northeastward and the disturbance in the Northern Jet Stream will move eastward, reaching the Great Lakes area. It is still unclear if, or how much these two disturbances will interact, and that will make all the difference in our weather for Saturday.
This will bring us a chance of rain or snow Saturday depending upon the possible interaction between the two disturbances in the northern and southern jet streams. Highs will be in the upper 30’s to low 40’s, and possibly cooler depending on if and how the two jet streams and associated disturbances interact.
Next Sunday, February 2nd there will be a chance of rain or snow ending in the morning, followed by clearing. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.
Next Monday, February 3rd, and next Tuesday, February 4th, are then looking nice with highs in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s next Monday and the low to mid 40’s next Tuesday.
Next Wednesday, February 5th will be variably cloudy with a chance of a rain or snow shower. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.
Next Thursday, February 6th, there will be a chance of rain or snow as a disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s.
Next Friday, February 7th, there will be a chance of rain or snow ending in the morning, followed by clearing. Highs will be in the 30’s to low 40’s.
Next Saturday, February 8th, will be variably cloudy with highs in the mid 30’s to low 40’s.
Have a fantastic day!
