Sunday, January 5, 2020 - Evening Weather Discussion

Some light snow possible tonight and Tuesday night and then a warm and rainy weekend ahead, possibly 60’s Saturday…

Light snow will develop in most places tonight and will end tomorrow morning as a weak warm front passes through our area. The snow could accumulate to from a trace to a coating in Central NJ, on Eastern Long Island, and in Southeastern Fairfield County, CT, and from a trace to an inch in parts of East Central and Northeastern PA, Northern NJ, NYC, Southeastern NY State, in the rest of Fairfield County, CT.

After the snow ends in the morning tomorrow will then be variably cloudy with highs in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.

Tuesday, there will be a chance of light snow or flurries developing at night, ending late at night, except early in the morning on Eastern Long Island as a disturbance passes through our area. There is also a slight chance that a heavier band of snow could move through parts of our area, but we will have to wait and see. Highs Tuesday will be in the mid 30’s to low 40’s.

Wednesday is then looking variably cloudy with a chance of a snow shower as a cold front passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to low 40’s.

Thursday will then be mostly sunny with highs in the low to mid 30’s.

Friday, clouds will increase with a chance of a shower as a strong disturbance approaches from the west. Highs will be in the mid 40’s to mid 50’s.

Saturday into next Sunday morning there will be a chance of rain as a strong disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid 50’s to mid 60’s Saturday and the upper 30’s and 40’s next Sunday.

Next Monday, January 13th, clouds will increase again, with a chance of rain developing at night as another disturbance approaches from the west. Highs will be in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s.

Next Tuesday, January 14th, there will be a chance of rain as a disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the upper 40’s to mid 50’s.

Next Wednesday, January 15th there will be a chance of rain showers as another disturbance passes through our area. The rain showers could change to snow showers in some places at night. Highs will be in the 40’s to low 50’s.

Next Thursday, January 16th, there will be a chance of rain or snow showers as another disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the 30’s to low 40’s.

Next Friday, January 17th, is then looking variably cloudy with highs in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s.

Next Saturday, January 18th, is looking variably cloudy with a chance of rain or snow showers. Highs will be in the 30’s.
