Sunday, January 5, 2020 - Morning Weather Discussion

A bit of snow possible tonight into tomorrow and again Tuesday night and then 60 degrees possible Saturday…

A warm front will pass through our area causing light snow or flurries to develop tonight into tomorrow morning that could accumulate to anywhere from a trace to an inch by morning in parts of our area. Highs today will range from the low to mid 30’s in Northeastern PA to the low to mid 40’s in Central NJ.

Tomorrow the light snow or flurries will end in the morning, followed by clearing. Highs will range from the mid to upper 30’s in Northeastern PA to the mid to upper 40’s in Central NJ.

Tuesday, clouds will increase with a chance of snow, light snow, or flurries developing in the late afternoon or evening as another disturbance approaches our area. The track of this storm is still uncertain, and it is likely that there will be a narrow swath of heavier snow with this disturbance. It is however possible that this area could remain off shore, and that some of our area could miss this disturbance entirely, so be sure to check back for updates. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to low 40’s.

Wednesday there will be a chance of snow, light snow, or flurries ending in t he morning, then it will be variably cloudy with a chance of a snow shower or flurry. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.

Thursday will be mostly sunny with highs in the mid 30’s.

Friday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower as a disturbance approaches from the west. Highs will be in the mid 40’s to mid 50’s.

Saturday there will be a chance of rain as a disturbance passes through our area. It will be warm, with highs in the mid 50’s to low 60’s.

Next Sunday, January 12th, there will be a chance of rain ending in the morning, followed by clearing, as the disturbance departs our area. Highs will be in the mid 40’s to mid 50’s.

Next Monday, January 13th, clouds will increase with a chance of rain developing again at night as another disturbance approaches our area. Highs will be in the 40’s.

Next Tuesday, January 14th, there will be a chance of rain ending in the morning, then it will be variably cloudy. Highs will be in the 50’s.

Next Wednesday, January 15th, will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower. Highs will be in the 40’s.

Next Thursday, January 16th, through next Saturday, January 17th, will be variably cloudy with a chance of a rain or snow shower. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s next Thursday, the 30’s next Friday, and the mid 30’s to low 40’s next Saturday.
