It will be variably cloudy through Friday with a chance of a flurry through early tomorrow morning and increasing cloudiness late on Friday. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to low 40’s tomorrow, the mid 30’s Thursday, and from the mid to upper 30’s in Northeastern PA to the mid 40’s in Central NJ Friday.
Friday, two disturbances will be approaching our area, one will be dropping down into the Northern Plains States and heading toward the Great Lakes in Northern Jet Stream while one develops in the Gulf of Mexico and heads towards the Southeastern Coast of the United States. These two disturbances may start to merge near the Middle Atlantic Coast Saturday morning. The amount of merging of these two disturbances will make all the difference as far as the weather in our area Saturday. It is still unclear as to how much interaction there will be between these two disturbances. If they fail to merge we would be left with only a chance of a few rain or snow showers. If they partially merge we would have a chance of some rain or snow. If they completely merge quick enough along the Middle Atlantic Coast, a strong Nor’easter would likely develop, bringing our area heavy rain or snow and strong wind. We will just have to wait and see how this works out.
This will bring us a chance of rain or snow Saturday as the two disturbances approach our area. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s, depending on how things develop with the two disturbances.
Sunday will then be variably cloudy with highs in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.
Monday will be mostly sunny with highs in the mid 40’s to low 50’s.
Next Tuesday, February 4th, will be variably cloudy with a chance of some rain showers. Highs will be in the mid 40’s to low 50’s.
Next Wednesday, February 5th, will be variably cloudy with a chance of a rain or snow shower. Highs will be in the upper 30’s and 40’s.
Next Thursday, February 6th, and next Friday, February 7th, will be variably cloudy with a chance of a rain or snow shower. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to low 40’s.
Next Saturday, February 8th, there will be a chance of rain or snow as a disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s.
Next Sunday, February 9th, and next Monday, February 10th, will be variably cloudy with a chance of rain or snow. Highs will be in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s.
Have a wonderful evening!
