Sunday, February 9, 2020 - Evening Weather Discussion

A bit of snow in parts of our area tonight into tomorrow morning, changing to rain, cold Friday and Saturday, then warming again…

A mixture of light rain and light snow will develop tonight across our area, with mainly light snow in Northeastern PA, Northwestern NJ, Southeastern NY State, and Fairfield County, CT. Light rain will develop early tomorrow in Central NJ, NYC, and on Long Island. The snow could accumulate a trace to an inch in East Central PA, Northwestern NJ, Southeastern NY State, and in Northern Fairfield County, CT, with an inch to two inches possible in Northeastern PA. Highs tomorrow will be in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s.

Tuesday, there will be a chance of light rain with highs in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s.

Wednesday, clouds will increase with a chance of rain developing at night, possibly starting as snow in parts of Northeastern PA, Southeastern NY State, and Fairfield County, CT, as a strong disturbance approaches from the west. Highs will be in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s.

Thursday, the rain will end in the morning, followed by clearing, as a cold front passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid 40’s to mid 50’s.

Friday and Saturday will then be mostly sunny and cold, with highs in the upper teens and 20’s Friday and the upper 20’s to mid 30’s Saturday.

Next Sunday, February 16th, through next Wednesday, February 19th, there will be a chance of a shower each day. Highs will be in the low to mid 40’s next Sunday, the mid 40’s to mid 50’s next Monday, the upper 40’s to mid 50’s next Tuesday, and the 40’s to low 50’s next Wednesday.

Next Thursday, February 20th, through next Saturday, February 22nd, are then looking variably cloudy with highs in the upper 30’s to mid 30’s next Thursday, the 40’s next Friday, and the mid 40’s to low 50’s next Saturday.
