A strong disturbance will approach our area tonight, causing precipitation to develop, possibly starting as snow in East Central and Northeastern PA, Northwestern NJ, Southeastern NY State, and Fairfield County, CT, and then possibly changing to freezing rain in Northeastern PA. Highs today will be in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s.
Tomorrow, any snow or freezing rain will change to rain, with some light snowfall accumulations possible in Northeastern PA, far Northwestern NJ, Orange and Putnam Counties in NY State, and in Northern Fairfield County, CT, and some ice accumulation possible in Northeastern PA. The rain will end in the afternoon, followed by clearing. Lows will be in the 30’s with highs from the upper 30’s to mid 40’s in Northeastern PA to the low to mid 50’s in Central NJ.
Friday will then be variably cloudy and much colder with a chance of a snow squall, snow shower, or flurry in the morning as some Lake Effect moisture could reach our area. Highs will range from the upper teens to low 20’s in Northeastern PA to the low to mid 30’s in Central NJ and on Long Island.
Saturday through Monday will then be nice, with temperatures gradually rising from the mid 20’s to mid 30’s Saturday, to the low to mid 40’s Sunday, and the mid 40’s to low 50’s Monday.
Tuesday there will be a chance of showers as a disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the 40’s to low 50’s.
Next Wednesday, February 19th, there will be a chance of a shower in the morning, followed by clearing, as a cold front passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid 40’s to mid 50’s.
Next Thursday, February 20th, through next Saturday, February 22nd, will be variably cloudy with highs in the low to mid 30’s next Thursday, the mid 30’s to low 40’s next Friday, and the low to mid 40’s next Saturday. Unfortunately, for those of you hoping for snow, this morning there are no signs of the potential Nor’easter I talked about last night.
Next Sunday, February 23rd, through next Tuesday, February 25th, are looking variably cloudy with a chance of a rain or snow shower. Highs will be in the mid 40’s to low 50’s next Sunday and Monday and the upper 30’s to mid 40’s next Tuesday.
Have a fantastic day!
