Friday, April 17, 2020 - Evening Weather Discussion

Accumulating snow likely in far northern parts of our area tonight into tomorrow morning…

Rain and snow will develop throughout our area this evening, with rain developing in Central NJ, NYC, and on Long Island, rain or snow, or mixed rain and snow in East Central PA, Northern NJ, Southeastern NY State, and Fairfield County, CT, and snow likely in Northeastern PA. The mixture of rain and snow should gradually change to rain, except for in much of Northeastern PA, far Northwestern Orange County, NY, and far Northern Fairfield County, CT.

The rain and snow will end in the morning with snowfall accumulations of anywhere from a coating to 3 inches or more possible in Northeastern PA, far Northwestern Orange County, NY, and in far Northern Fairfield County, CT, with a trace to a coating possible in northern parts of East Central PA, far Northwestern NJ, the rest of Orange and Putnam Counties in NY, and in the rest of Northern Fairfield County, CT. Highs will be in the 40’s.

Sunday will then be mostly sunny with highs in the mid 50’s to low 60’s.

Monday will be mostly cloudy, with a chance of rain near the coast and on Long Island in the morning as a strong disturbance passes southeast of our area. Highs will be in the upper 40’s to low 50’s

Tuesday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower in the afternoon. Highs will be in the 50’s to low 60’s.

Wednesday will be mostly sunny with highs in the mid 40’s to low 50’s.

Thursday, clouds will increase with rain developing in the afternoon and evening as a disturbance approaches from the west. Highs will be in the mid 50’s to low 60’s.

Next Friday, April 24th, there will be a chance of rain as the disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the upper 50’s to mid 60’s.

Next Saturday, April 25th, will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower at night as another disturbance approaches from the west. Highs will be in the upper 50’s to mid 60’s.

Next Sunday, April 26th, there will be a chance of rain as a disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid 50’s to low 60’s.

Next Monday, April 27th, there will be a chance of showers as the disturbance departs our area. Highs will be in the mid 50’s to low 60’s.

Next Tuesday, April 28th, through next Thursday, April 30th, are then looking variably cloudy with highs in the mid 50’s to low 60’s next Tuesday, and the upper 50’s to mid 60’s next Wednesday and Thursday.
