Monday, April 13, 2020 - Morning Weather Discussion

HEAVY RAIN AND STRONG WIND TODAY…

There will be heavy rain and strong wind today as a strong disturbance passes to our north and through the Great Lakes area at the same time that a strong cold front approaches our area from the west. Total rainfall amounts will range from 1-4 inches in most places, which will cause some flooding. Winds could gust as high as 70 mph in some inland locations and 80 mph in near the coast, in NYC, and on Long Island in some of the stronger showers and thunderstorms. Highs will be in the 60’s to low 70’s.
