A tropical system will approach the East Coast early next week and will combine with a stalled front to our south and a disturbance approaching from the west, to bring copious moisture to our area Friday through Tuesday. Click here for the latest from the National Hurricane Center.
Today will be variably cloudy, slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm near the coast or on Long Island, with highs in the mid 80’s to mid 90’s.
Tomorrow will be variably cloudy with a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm. Highs will be in the mid 80’s to mid 90’s.
Friday will be mostly cloudy with showers or thunderstorms likely, possibly heavy at times, as a disturbance develops along the front stalled to our south. Highs will be in the upper 70’s to mid 80’s.
Saturday through Tuesday will then be variably cloudy with a chance of showers or thunderstorms as the front remains stalled near our area as a strong disturbance approaches from the west and a tropical disturbance approaches the East Coast from the Southeast. Highs will be in the 80’s Saturday through Monday and in the upper 70’s to mid 80’s Tuesday.
Next Wednesday, August 5th, will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm, especially in the morning. Highs will be in the mid 70’s to low 80’s.
Next Thursday, August 6th, through next Tuesday, August 11th, are then looking variably cloudy with just a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm next Saturday, Monday, and Tuesday. Highs will be in the mid 70’s to mid 80’s next Thursday, and in the upper 70’s to mid 80’s next Friday through Tuesday.
