TODAY – increasing cloudiness, light rain and light snow developing from west to east in the morning, becoming moderate during the mid-day time frame, ending in the evening from west to east, highs in the mid 30’s to low 40’s

 

Total possible snowfall accumulation:

 

Trace to an inch:  East Central NJ, NYC, Western Long Island

 

Trace to an inch or Two:  West Central NJ

 

One to three inches:  Northeastern PA, Northeastern NJ, Southeastern NY State, Fairfield County CT

 

Two to four Inches:  East Central PA, Northwestern NJ

 

TOMORROW – mostly sunny, lows in the 20’s to low 30’s, highs in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s

 

WEDNESDAY – increasing cloudiness, snow developing in the afternoon and evening from southwest to northeast, becoming heavy at night, possibly mixed with rain along the Central NJ Coast and on far Eastern Long Island, becoming windy at night with gusts up to 50 mph possible inland and up to 60 mph possible along the NJ Coast and on Long Island, lows in the upper teens to upper 20’s, highs from the mid 20’s in Northeastern PA to the low 40’s along the Central NJ Coast

 

THURSDAY – snow ending in the morning from west to east, windy early in the morning with gusts up to 40 mph inland and up to 50 mph along the coast and on Long Island, lows in the 20’s to low 30’s, highs in the mid 20’s to mid 30’s

 

Total possible snowfall accumulation:

 

Trace to 2 inches:  Southeastern NJ

 

2-12 inches:  Southwestern NJ, Coastal Central NJ from south to north

 

9-12 inches:  far Southeastern Long Island

 

12-18 inches with locally higher amounts possible:  Central NJ, NYC, Long Island (excluding far Southeastern Long Island)

 

14-24 inches with locally higher amounts possible:  East Central PA, Northern NJ, Southeastern NY State, Fairfield County, CT

 

FRIDAY – mostly sunny, lows in the teens to mid 20’s, highs in the mid 20’s to low 30’s

 

SATURDAY – mostly sunny, lows in the mid single digits to mid teens inland and the upper teens to low 20’s along the coast, highs in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s

 

SUNDAY – variably cloudy, lows in the 20’s to low 30’s, highs in the mid 30’s to low 40’s

 

NEXT MONDAY – variably cloudy, chance of rain or snow showers in the morning, lows in the mdi 20’s to low 30’s, highs in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s
