Unsettled through Sunday night with some rain and some snow in parts of our area…
The rain will end this afternoon and evening from northwest to southeast as a cold front drops down from the north and through our area. Highs will be this morning and will range from the mid to upper 30’s in Northeastern PA to the upper 40’s along the NJ Coast and on Eastern Long Island, then falling.
New Year’s Day, clouds will increase with rain developing from southwest to northeast in the afternoon and evening, with some freezing rain and a little snow possible in Northeastern PA, far Northwestern NJ, and in Orange County, NY as a disturbance develops over Texas and then passes to our northwest and then through the Great Lakes area, bringing some warmer air to our area. Highs will range from the mid 30’s in Northeastern PA to the mid 40’s along the NJ Coast.
Saturday, the rain will end in the morning and early afternoon from southwest to northeast as the disturbance departs our area. Highs will be in the mid 40’s to mid 50’s.
Sunday, rain will develop from southwest to northeast in the morning, possibly mixed with snow inland, and snow is possible in Northeastern PA, Northwestern NJ, in Southeastern NY State, and in Northern Fairfield County, CT as a disturbance approaches from the west, possibly developing into a Nor’easter along the Middle Atlantic Coast. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.
Monday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a flurry. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.
Tuesday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a snow shower or flurry. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.
Wednesday will be mostly sunny with highs in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s.
Next Thursday, January 7th, clouds will increase with a chance of rain or snow developing at night as a disturbance approaches from the west. Highs will be in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s.
Next Friday, January 8th, there will be a chance of rain or snow ending in the morning as the disturbance departs our area. Highs will be in the upper 30’s to low 40’s.
Next Saturday, January 9th, and next Sunday, January 10th, are then looking variably cloudy with highs in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s next Saturday and the mid 30’s to mid 40’s next Sunday.
Next Monday, January 11th, there will be a chance of rain or snow as a disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.
Next Tuesday, January 12th, and next Wednesday, January 13th, are then looking nice wight highs in the mid 30’s to low 40’s.
