Tuesday, December 22, 2020 - Daily Weather Discussion


Rain or snow showers, sprinkles, or flurries today, nice tomorrow, and then rain and wind Christmas Eve into early Christmas morning…


There will be a chance of a rain or snow shower this morning and a sprinkle or flurry this afternoon as a weak disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.


Tomorrow will be mostly sunny with highs in the mid 30’s to low 40’s.


Christmas Eve, rain will develop in East Central and Northeastern PA in the morning, in Northwestern NJ and Orange County, NY in the afternoon, and everywhere else at night, becoming heavy at times, also becoming windy at night, with gusts of up to 60 mph possible as a cold front approaches from the west. It will be warm, with highs in the 50’s.


Christmas Day the rain will end in the morning from west to east as the cold front passes through our area. High temperatures will be early in the day, ranging from the low to mid 40’s in Northeastern PA to the low to mid 50’s on Long Island, then falling.


Saturday and Sunday will then be nice, but it will start out cold, with highs in the mid 20’s to low 30’s Saturday, rising to the mid to upper 30’s Sunday.


Monday there will be a chance of rain as a disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the 40’s.


Next Tuesday, December 29th and next Wednesday, December 30th, are then looking nice with highs in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s next Tuesday and the mid 30’s to low 40’s next Wednesday.


New Year’s Eve into the morning of New Year’s Day there will be a chance of rain or snow as a disturbance may pass through our area. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.


Next Saturday, January 2nd, through next Monday, January 4th are then looking nice with highs in the 30’s.
