Tuesday, March 30, 2021 - Daily Weather Discussion


Rain tomorrow, changing to snow in parts of our area Thursday morning, with significant accumulations possible in parts of Northeastern PA…


Today will be mostly sunny with highs in the mid 50’s to mid 60’s.


Tomorrow, rain will develop in the late morning and afternoon from west to east as a disturbance and cold front approach from the west. Highs will be in the mid 50’s to mid 60’s.


Thursday, the rain will change to snow in much of Northeastern PA and parts of East Central PA, Northwestern NJ, and Orange County, NY, as the approaching disturbance develops into a Nor’easter and passes right over our area, pulling cold air in behind it. The rain and snow will end in the afternoon from south to north. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.


Total possible snowfall accumulation:


A trace to 6 inches:  Northeastern PA from east to west


A trace to an inch or two East Central PA


A trace to an inch:  Northwestern NJ and Orange County, NY

Friday will then be variably cloudy with a chance of a flurry in the morning. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to low 40’s.


Saturday will be mostly sunny with highs in the upper 40’s to mid 50’s.


Easter Sunday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a rain or snow shower in the morning as a weak disturbance passes just to our northeast. Highs will be in the mid 50’s to low 60’s.


Monday through next Thursday, April 8th, are looking nice with highs in the mid 50’s to low 60’s Monday, and the upper 50’s to mid 60’s Tuesday through next Thursday.


Next Friday, April 9th, will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower. Highs will be in the mid 50’s to low 60’s.


Next Saturday, April 10th, through next Monday, April 12th, are then looking nice with highs in the mid 50’s to low 60’s next Saturday and Sunday and the mid to upper 50’s next Monday.
