Remnants of Ida will bring heavy rain and strong wind into
Thursday morning, likely causing flooding and downed trees, leading to power outages…
The remnants of Ida will pass through our area tomorrow
night, causing rain or showers and thunderstorms to develop tomorrow from west
to east, in the morning, becoming heavy at times in
Northeastern PA, far Northern NJ, Southeastern NY State, and in Fairfield
County, CT during the day from west to east, and at night throughout our area,
with some flooding likely. It will also become very windy from west to east in
the afternoon and evening, with gusts of up to 65 mph possible, which could cause
trees to become uprooted from the saturated ground and strong winds, which will
likely lead to some power outages. Highs tomorrow will be in the upper 60’s to
mid 70’s.
Thursday there will be rain,
heavy at times early in the morning, ending in the morning from west to east,
with some flooding likely. It will be windy in the morning with gusts of up to
50 mph possible, likely causing some trees to become uprooted from the combination
of saturated ground and strong winds, which will lead to some powers outages.
Total rainfall amounts of up to 9 inches are possible in parts of Northeastern
PA, with widespread amounts of 2-6 inches likely in much of our area. The
flooding could be severe in Northeastern PA and significant throughout our
area.

Friday will then be variably
cloudy and Saturday mostly sunny with highs in the 70’s Friday and the 70’s to
low 80’s Saturday.
Sunday will be variably
cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm in the afternoon or at night
as a cold front approaches our area. Highs will be in the 70’s to low 80’s.
Labor Day will then be variably cloudy with a chance of a
shower or thunderstorm on Long Island in the morning as the cold front passes
through our area. Highs will be in the mid 70’s to low 80’s.
Next Tuesday, September 7th, will then be mostly sunny behind
the cold front with highs in the mid 70’s to low 80’s.
Next Wednesday, September 8th, will be variably cloudy with
a chance of a shower or thunderstorm as a cold front passes through our area. Highs
will be in the 70’s.
Next Thursday, September 9th through next Monday, September
13th are currently looking nice with highs in the upper 60’s to mid 70’s next
Thursday and the 70’s next Friday through Monday.
