TONIGHT – snow developing from south to north, quickly changing to rain in Southeastern PA, Southern, Central, and Northeastern NJ, NYC, in Southeastern Rockland and Southern Westchester Counties in NY State, on Long Island, and in Fairfield County, CT, and gradually mixing with or changing to rain in East Central PA, most of Northwestern NJ, Southeastern NY State, except Northwestern Orange County, and in Northern Fairfield County, CT, with all snow likely in Northeastern PA, far Northwestern NJ, Northwestern Orange County, NY, and far Northern Fairfield County, CT, there will also be some sleet and freezing rain mixed in parts of our area. The rain will be heavy at times in parts of our area and there could be some flooding, especially in Northeastern NJ. It will become windy, with gusts up to 50 mph inland, up to 60 mph along the NJ Coast, and up to 75 mph on Long Island. Temperatures rising to from the low 30’s in Northeastern PA to the mid 40’s along the NJ Coast and on Long Island by midnight

 

Total possible snowfall accumulation this evening:

 

A Trace to a coating possible:  Far Southeastern PA (Philadelphia area), Southern NJ and Long Island

 

Coasting to an inch possible:  Philadelphia Suburbs, Central and far Northeastern NJ, NYC, Southern Westchester County, NY, and Coastal Fairfield County, CT

 

1-3 inches possible:  the rest of Southeastern PA, East Central PA, Northwestern NJ except far Northwestern NJ, the rest of Southeastern NY State, except far Northwestern Orange County, NY, and inland Fairfield County, CT

 

3-6 inches with locally higher amounts possible:  far Northwestern NJ

 

4-12 inches:  Northeastern PA and far Northwestern Orange County, NY

 

TOMORROW – any rain likely changing back to snow, snow showers, or flurries then ending in the afternoon and early evening, with an additional inch or two of accumulation possible in some places, highs early in the morning from the mid to upper 30’s in Northeastern PA to the low 50’s in East Central NJ and on Long Island, lows in the afternoon in the mid 20’s to mid 30’s

 

TUESDAY – variably cloudy, chance of a snow shower or flurry, lows from the mid to upper teens in Northeastern PA to the upper 20’s along the NJ Coast, highs in the mid 20’s to mid 30’s

 

WEDNESDAY – variably cloudy, lows from the mid to upper single digits in Northeastern PA to the mid 20’s along the coast and on Long Island, highs in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s

 

THURSDAY – chance of rain or snow shower early in the morning, especially in Southern NJ and on Long Island, lows from the mid 20’s to mid 30’s, highs from the low 20’s in Northeastern PA to the mid 30’s in East Central NJ, NYC, and on Long Island

 

FRIDAY – variably cloudy, lows from around zero in Northeastern PA to the mid teens along the NJ Coast, highs from the low teens in Northeastern PA to the mid 20’s in Central NJ

 

SATURDAY – slight chance of snow, lows from the low to mid single digits below zero in Northeastern PA to the mid teens along the NJ Coast, highs from the upper teens in Northeastern PA to the upper 20’s in Central NJ

 

NEXT SUNDAY – slight chance of snow, lows from the low teens in Northeastern PA to the mid 20’s along the coast and on Long Island, highs in the mid 20’s to mid 30’s

 

NEXT MONDAY – variably cloudy, lows from the mid single digits in Northeastern PA to the low 20’s along the coast and on Long Island, highs from the upper teens to low 20’s in Northeastern PA to the low 30’s in Central NJ

 

NEXT TUESDAY – slight chance of snow developing in the afternoon or evening, lows from the mid single digits in Northeastern PA to the upper teens along the coast and on Long Island, highs from the low 20’s in Northeastern PA to the low 30’s in Central NJ, NYC, and on Long Island

 

NEXT WEDNESDAY – slight chance of snow ending in the morning, then clearing, lows from the mid single digits in Northeastern PA to the upper teens along the NJ Coast and on Long Island, lows from the mid single digits in Northeastern PA to the upper teens along the coast and on Long Island, highs from the upper teens in Northeastern PA to the low 30’s in East Central NJ
